Dr. Tara Harris, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Phlebotomy Genie Mobile Service is proudly supported by Dr. Tara Harris.
Dr. Harris' formal training is as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been in nursing for 20+ years. She obtained her DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) from Duke University. After obtaining her DNP she then moved into higher education positions in 2013.
She has served as both educational and clinical faculty ,teaching advanced health assessment, advanced pathophysiology, and other courses across the Nurse Practitioner curriculum at Walden University College of Nursing, where she currently serves as the Academic Coordinator.
She later earned a Post Masters Certificate in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program at Herzing University. This advanced education has enabled her to diagnose and treat mental illnesses, manage chronic conditions, and provide appropriate care services to individuals.
As a DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC Tara is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical practice. She continuously seeks opportunities for professional development and stays current with the latest advancements in healthcare to ensure that her patients receive the best possible care.
She is an active Family Medicine and Mental Health provider of experience managing both acute, chronic, and mental illnesses.
She also served as Laboratory Director at Duke Primary Care.

All lab tests are billed to your insurance by the resulting agency, therefore, we will obtain a copy of your insurance card to submit along with your specimen(s). Please be advised that The Phlebotomy Genie is not responsible for any charges or outstanding balances that may occur between client, patient, and resulting agency. Self-pay patients must pay in full before services are rendered.
